The Race

The Lake

Trump Lake is a 162 acre lake located in Forest County - Wabeno, Wisconsin. It has a maximum depth of 20 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake's water is moderately clear. (www.dnr.wi.gov)

The Course 

The course is a total of 1 Kilometer with 6 buoys which swimmers must circle around the right (counter-clockwise). For those racing the 1K race, they will swim one loop around a total of 6 buoys. 5K racers will complete the loop five times. Outside boaters will be notified of the race prior and during the race. Spotter boats will be circling area to keep swimmers in the course and the course clear from outside activity.

The Competition

Prior to the race, all swimmers must complete a liability waiver. Also, there will be a meeting for the swimmers to inform them on race conditions, course layout and other important information. To start the race, racers will starting in the water at the designated starting area. Times will be given to each swimmer at their completion. Winners will be awarded by age group, gender, and overall winners. Winners will be awarded at WAM Fest following conclusion of race. 

Where's Wabeno?

Wabeno, Wisconsin is located 1.5 hours north of Green Bay, 1.5 hours northwest of Wausau, and 1 hour southeast of Reinlander.  

Trump Lake is 4 miles north of Wabeno, just off Highway 32
